Tastries Bakery

I love to support local businesses, and was really looking forward to this bakery. However, the owner does not see the humanity in all people and treats them differently based on their identity. I believe everyone deserves the same dignity and respect. It is deeply disheartening to see that a business can outwardly hold discriminatory beliefs, and somehow use religion to validate it. I hope this business can have the courage to extend their humanity to all.

TLDR: Extremely disappointing, disorganized, and unprofessional experience. I attended a cake tasting for a wedding, and it was uncomfortable from the start. Cathy arrived late, and when I asked if there'd be a packet with pricing and details to take home, she scoffed and said, "That's what the cake tasting is for" — despite nothing being prepared or organized when we arrived. She later apologized, explaining she was new to the online platform, but that doesn't excuse leaving a bride's cake tasting unprepared. The bride had specifically requested tiramisu, yet that flavor hadn't been planned for either — something that should have been sorted out before the appointment, not discovered during it. Throughout, Cathy was combative and hostile toward reasonable questions about the cake, pricing, and arrangements. At one point, she singled me out — the only East Asian person in an otherwise South Asian group — and specifically asked how I was related to the bride, even though others in the group had equally close ties to the bride. It was a strange thing to need clarified, and it's hard not to wonder if she was trying to rule out the possibility that the bride was marrying a woman. Mos

We stoped for ice cream for the kids and coffee and cake for the big kids and it was amazing! The taste, the design of the store and the kind service made it absolutely worth the stop! Warm recommendation :)

We hired Tastries Bakery for our wedding in October 2023. Kathy and her team were simply amazing and great to work with. I loved how she was open to my idea of a small cake with cupcakes versus a traditional wedding cake. Thank you for the beautiful tasty cake and cupcakes!
